Tom is “Of Counsel” with Newton, O’Connor, Turner & Ketchum, and focuses his practice on Franchise law, Business Succession Planning, and Estate and Asset Protection Planning.

Tom serves as franchise counsel for several local franchise operations, to include Ron’s Hamburgers & Chili Inc., High School Sports - the Magazine LLC, Sedona Fitness LLC and Exerbotics Premier Fitness Studios LLC. Tom has extensive experience organizing franchises for registration and compliance purposes with the Federal Trade Commission, and offers counsel to both franchisors and franchisees.

Tom is a member of the American, Oklahoma and Tulsa County bar associations; the American Bar Association Forum on Franchising; the Tulsa Title and Probate Lawyers Association; and, the Tulsa Estate Planning Forum. Tom is also a member of the Rotary Club of Tulsa; serves on that organization’s Board of Directors; and, is a Trustee of the Tulsa Rotary Community Fund, Inc.

Tom earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Oklahoma State University, and his Juris Doctor degree from The University of Tulsa College of Law. He is admitted to practice in Oklahoma.
